FREIGHT BROKER RESOURCES

How to post loads for free, once or every day.

A useful load posting answers the first questions a carrier will ask: where, when, what equipment and how much. Prepare those details before publishing so the conversation can focus on whether the load is a fit.

On TBOS Loadboard, you can post one load free without an account. For a daily list, create a free broker account, confirm your email and turn on email posting. Neither option needs a paid TBOS business-software plan.

The load posting checklist

On TBOS, the basic required fields are pickup and delivery city/state, equipment, pickup date, contact name and contact email. The remaining details help carriers decide whether to contact you.

Pickup and delivery
City and state for both ends of the lane. Include ZIP codes when they help distinguish the location.
Dates and appointments
The available pickup date and expected delivery date. Explain appointment windows or first-come, first-served stops in the instructions.
Equipment and weight
The required trailer or truck type, cargo weight and any temperature, dimensions, tarping or handling needs.
Rate and miles
The offered amount, whether it is flat or per mile, and estimated miles if known. Explain conditions and confirm the final terms directly.
Commodity and instructions
What is moving and what the carrier needs to know before calling. Include special loading, unloading or access requirements.
Contact
A business contact name and email, plus a phone number if desired. Company name and MC number can help identify the posting business.

Post one load for free without an account

  1. Open the free load posting form. No account or subscription is required.
  2. Enter the lane, equipment and dates, then add the cargo and rate details you know. A per-mile rate and a flat total are different; select the right rate type.
  3. Add a business contact, review the details and publish. Contact information in the listing is public. Share sensitive documents and payment details directly through your normal business process.
  4. Save the private management link from the confirmation screen. Keep it separate from the public listing link you share with carriers.

Post your daily load list by email

If you already email available loads to carriers, you can add TBOS to that list after setting up email posting. The account identifies your business and supplies the contact details shown on each load.

  1. Create a free broker account and add your company name on your broker page. Add your MC number and business phone if you want those details on your listings.
  2. On your broker page, request the confirmation email and follow its link. Then turn on email posting. Creating the account alone does not enable it.
  3. Send from the email address you confirmed and add [email protected] as a To, Cc or Bcc recipient on your load list. Each load needs pickup and delivery city and state, a pickup date and equipment type.
  4. Check the recent email results on your broker page for listed loads and skipped lines. Correct missing details and send the list again. Direct emails receive a summary reply; automated messages and mailing lists do not.

Use lane lines, labelled blocks, a table or a CSV attachment. PDF, image and Excel workbook attachments are not read; export a CSV or paste the rows on your broker page instead. See supported email formats and examples. Messages must pass the sender checks for your email domain before loads can be listed.

Include your load number as a reference and keep it the same when you resend that load. TBOS updates the existing account listing instead of making another copy. Loads you mark booked or removed stay down if an old email list includes them again.

Keep availability accurate after posting

When the load is covered, mark it booked. Use the private management link for a load posted without an account, or your broker page for account postings. Remove a load that is no longer moving. If it is still available but the pickup date changes, update the posting with the correct date.

TBOS excludes expired listings and past pickup dates from available-load search. Renew only freight that is still available, and avoid creating duplicate listings for the same opportunity.

What happens when a carrier responds?

Confirm the rate, dates, equipment and shipment requirements directly. Use your own process to qualify and onboard the carrier and issue the rate confirmation. Publishing a listing does not verify a carrier or complete a booking.

TBOS Loadboard is a growing public posting channel. Use it alongside your carrier relationships and other tools; a posting does not guarantee a response. Learn more about free load posting for brokers.
